this piece was written for the Byte duo for premiere at the 2023 North American Saxophone Alliance Conference. Written to accompany a performance on an introduction to electroacoustic music for saxophonists, this piece uses a number of features of live electronics including live synthesis and live analysis of incoming audio signal using proto-AI techniques. In addition, there is a continuous live-recording process happening in this piece. The beginning plays back the end of the previous performance, while at the end it plays back the beginning of the performance.
