Written in 2019 for the Tampa Homegrown New Music Series. The piece is based on a “superpermutation,” a series of elements which contain all possible permutations of those elements within it. I was especially interested in rendering this kind of sequence audible and embodying the “threeness” in the musical structure. I applied this series to as many musical parameters as I possibly could, including the overall form, sounds, techniques, chords, and even the title.
